Dear Big M.A.C. Families,
Due to our constant strive toward health and wellness we
would like to encourage all students to drink water, and have a healthy snack during
the day. Please send a healthy snack
each day for your child to have as a mid-morning snack. We have drinking fountains in the school;
however, students are allowed to bring water bottles. Please try, as best as possible, to send snacks
students can manage themselves. Try to
avoid snacks that need cutting, microwaving, big clean-ups, etc. Some great snacks include: fruit, dry cereal, crackers, veggies, etc. We do have some food allergies, so we ask
that you NEVER send foods made from, containing PEANUTS, and/or TREE NUTS OF
ANY KIND.
P.S. As a
result from the heat, water bottles tend to sweat more than usual, if you could
also provide a cover for the water bottle, it would help as well. A sock works extremely well as a water bottle
cover.
